Poor farmers across Manipur have sought help from the State Government in view of the drought-like situation in the State following poor monsoon rainfall.
Most of the paddy fields in the State have gone dry due to scarcity of water. The effort to fill in by pumping water from the nearby water sources like river could not be implemented owing to the poor economic condition of the farmers.

Manipur State Government departments have earmarked financial resources to tackle a possible drought-like situation in the State.
