Central Pollution Control Board dated 04/12/2017 regarding discharge of untreated effluents from industries, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. NGT was critical of the three reports submitted by the Joint Inspection Team saying it lacked "evidencery value and denies scientific reasoning" and cited that in two reports BOD at intlet is more than 5000 mg/l while in one report it is shown as 439 mg/l.

Court directs that the express highway project of Eastern Peripheral Expressway would continue subject to Senior most officer of the NHAI filing an undertaking that they shall fully ensure that there are no dust emission and no pollution is caused by their activity.

The Application filed by journalist Ashwini Yadav said that the Kanpur Development Authority has not obtained the no objection certificate.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of In Re: Outrage as parents end life after child's dengue death & Others dated 01/11/2017. The Apex Court after going through the affidavit filed on behalf of the Directorate General of Health Services stated that "various vector borne diseases are widespread in different parts of the country apparently due to an absence of solid waste management. Therefore, it appears that the crucial issue is really the management of solid waste."
