It is submitted by the counsel for Vanashakti Public Trust that NEERI has given a proposal in February, 2017 with regard to certain short term measures for reducing pollution levels in the area. Supreme Court directs Additional Solicitor General to inform the Court on the status of the proposal given by NEERI.

In the affidavit filed by South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) it is stated that the SDMC has initiated action for establishment of an additional Waste-to-Energy project and an Engineered Landfill site, compliant with Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016.
