As per the 19th Electric Power Survey (EPS) Report, the projected electrical energy requirement and peak electricity demand (utilities) on all India basis in the year 2019-20 is 1400 BU and 2,00,696 MW, respectively. The Power Supply Position in terms of energy requirement and peak demand during last year (2016-17) and during current year 2017-18 (upto June’17) are furnished at Annex-II.
