As much as 5,000 acres in this district would benefit by the micro-irrigation programme for which the government would give cent per cent subsidy, Collector Darez Ahmed said here on Thursday.

The government subsidy for constructing individual household toilets has been increased to Rs. 4,700 a unit and 2,488 beneficiaries would be sanctioned the subsidy in the district soon, said Collector Darez Ahmed.
