ITANAGAR, Sep 17 (PTI): Arunachal Pradesh was today assured of funds by the Centre for border management and integrated development of the power sector.

BHUBANESWAR: The State continues to have a shortage of power due to breakdown in several generating units of NTPC at Farakka, Kahalgaon, Kaniha and Ib thermal power station at Banharipali in Jharsuguda district.

There was a shortage of more than 150 MW during the evening peak despite the hydro power stations providing 1,250 MW.

Minister of State for Energy and Mineral Resources (Independent charge) Shri Rajendra Shukla has said that self-reliance in the power sector is necessary for making Madhya Pradesh prosperous.
