Petitioners are National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) accredited diagnostic laboratories and research centres conducting various kinds of Covid 19 tests including RT-PCR tests. They are aggrieved by Ext.P6 order by which the Kerala Government reduced the charges for the tests for diagnosis of Covid. The charges for RTPCR (open test) was reduced from Rs.2100/-to Rs.1,500/-.

Judgement of the Kerala High Court in the matter of Dr. K. A. Seethi Vs State of Kerala & Others dated 06/07/2018. The petitioners are concerned with the failure of the State authorities in removing/disposing of the seized and confiscated vehicles, which are seen abandoned on the road sides and highways, and they have been cause of accidents and traffic congestion.

Judgement of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of Kerala Ayurveda Paramparya Vaidya Forum Vs State of Kerala & Others dated 13/04/2018 regarding the question of granting registration to practice medicines to the ‘Paramparya Vaidyas’. The appellants have contended that in the State of Kerala, a large number of persons are practicing in Sidha/Unani/Ayurveda system of medicines known as ‘Paramparya Vaidyas’, which are in vogue for a long time.

Order of the High Court of Kerala in the matter of Shameer Vs State of Kerala dated 03/04/2018. The case has been filed under Sections 20 & 23 of the Kerala Protection of River Banks and Regulation of Removal of Sand Act, 2001. The petitioner was found transporting stolen river sand without any permit or pass.

Judgement of the High Court of Kerala in the matter of Sheriff A. H. Vs State of Kerala & Others dated 06/02/2018 regarding prohibition on the working of a quarry in Ernakulam District, Kerala by the District Collector, Ernakulam. The order was issued mainly for non-compliance of Section 40 of the Kerala Irrigation and Water Conservation Act, 2003. Court disposes of the appeal.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Southern Zone, Chennai) in the matter of Lawyers Environmental Awareness Forum (LEAF) Vs State of Kerala & Others dated 04/12/2017 regarding air pollution in cities of Kerala.

The Court observed that by order dated 05.08.2016, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) was directed to file a report on the Ambient Air Quality (AAQ) of cities of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kochi, Thrissur, Calicut and Kannur within one month and that report is yet to be filed. NGT directs the report to be filed by 16.01.2018.
