This Appeal assails the Environmental Clearance (EC) granted to stone mining (Minor Mineral Mining) with proposed production capacity of 9.0 Million TPA (ROM) of stone in mining lease area measuring 53.03 Hectares at Khasra No. 91, 96, 97, 98, 99, 102 and 103 of Village Rajawas, Tehsil and District Mahendergarh, Haryana in favour of M/s R.S Joint Venture on 3rd July, 2015.

State of Maharashtra & Ors. dated 07/04/2016 regarding quarries and stone crushers operating in eastern edge of Haveli taluka, Wagholi , Bhavadi, Lonikand and Perene, Pune, Maharashtra.

Maharashtra State Pollution Control Board has issued closure notice to 88 stone crushers out of existing 165 crushers and also directions are issued to the concerned Executive Engineer of the Electricity Board to disconnect the electric supply.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Baba Ram Dev Stone Crusher Vs. Rajasthan Pollution Control Board dated 06/04/2016 regarding pollution caused by stone crusher in village Kolia Dungari – Didwana, District Nagaur, Rajasthan. NGT directs the stone crushing unit to be sealed and said "it will not operate under any circumstance and the SHO of the concerned area shall be personally responsible for ensuring compliance of this Order".

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Jagannath Mane Vs. Union of India & Others dated 15/03/2016 regarding illegal stone mining, Madhya Pradesh.

The Counsel appearing for the State as well as the Project Proponent submit that the stone crusher in question has been closed and no activity of crushing of stone or any other stone crushing activity is being carried on at the site in question.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Southern Zone, Chennai) in the matter of Suo motu Application Vs The Chief Secretary, Government of Telangana & Others dated 02/02/2016 regarding illegal crushing units in the State of Telangana.

On service of Show Cause Notices, 65 units have applied for Consent to Operate and for the remaining 125 Units closure orders have been served.
