Judgement of the High Court of Delhi in the matter of Mukesh Kumar Vs Ranbir Singh, Commissioner East Delhi Municipal Corporation dated 17/04/2018. The issue relates to regularization of the West Jyoti Nagar Colony, Shahdara, Delhi which was an unauthorized colony. It was stated that in the regularization plan of the colony community facility projects were earmarked and the land earmarked for community facility projects has been converted into illegal and unauthorized residential complexes.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of Manali Hoteliers Association Vs Ramesh Chand & Others dated 05/03/2018 regarding hotel, lodges, home stays operating without consent of the State Pollution Control Board and flouting environmental laws in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. Manali Hoteliers Association had objected to the NGT Order which had asked for closure of hotels flouting environmental laws and said that Section 39 of the Town and Country Planning Act, 1977 prescribes the procedure for non-compliance which has to pass a statutory provision.
