The order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Arvind Baniyal Vs State of Uttarakhand dated 28/07/2020. The issue for consideration was the remedial action against waste disposal dump yards illegally set up on the bank of river Khoh at village Ratanpur, Kashirampur, Gadighat and near Sports Stadium, Kotdwar in Uttarakhand where garbage was being burnt and river water was polluted.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vijay Kumar Malhotra Vs Uttarakhand Environment Protection and Pollution Control Board & Others dated 17/07/2020. Grievance in this application is that Himalayan Food Park Pvt. Ltd., Kashipur, District Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand is operating in violation of environmental norms near Jim Corbett National Park. Neither the green belt has been developed around the complex nor ETP/STP has been set up. No spare land has been provided for development of green belt.

Report by the Central Pollution Control Board, Regional Directorate, Lucknow to look into the matter of pollution by M/s Speciality Industries Polymers & Coating Pvt. Ltd. SIDCUL, Sitarjanj, Udham Singh Nagar district, Uttarakhand. The unit is engaged in production of polymer emulsion and acrylic water based emulsions.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Kripal Singh Vs State of Uttarakhand dated 01/07/2020 regarding illegal operation of a rice mill by M/s Bansal Industries in village Danpur, Kashipur Road, tehsil Rudrapur, District Udhamsingh Nagar, Uttarakhand.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Ramesh Chandra Kapri Vs State of Uttarakhand dated 29/06/2020. The matter relates to waste management in Pithoragarh.

Report filed by the Secretary, Urban Department, State of Uttarakhand stated that the Solid Waste Management Plant, Pithoragarh would be functional by March 31, 2021.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Rajeev Raj Bhalla Vs State of Uttarakhand & Others dated 25/06/2020 regarding Home Stays in Uttarakhand violating environmental norms.

Action taken report by the Uttarakhand Pollution Control Board in the matter of Gram Pradhan and Residents of Tapovan Vs State of Uttarakhand. The report was in pursuance to the National Green Tribunal (NGT) order of January 2, 2020 on muck disposal and management in Tapovan-Vishnugad Hydroelectric Project of National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd., Uttarakhand.

Central Pollution Control Board (Regional Directorate, Lucknow) report on the site visit to M/s Speciality Industries Polymers & Coating Pvt Ltd, SIDCUL, Sitarganj, Uttarakhand. 

The unit is engaged in production of polymer emulsion. The unit was visited on January 28, 2020 in reference to the National Green Tribunal order of December 3, 2019 in the matter of O.A. No. 123/2018 by joint team of officials from regional directorate, CPCB, Lucknow and Regional Office, Uttarakhand Environment Protection & Pollution Control Board (UEPPCB), Kashipur.

The Bhagirathi Valley is investigated to understand the impact of various barrages and dams on natural river flow. The multiple barrages and dams in the valley (downstream of the Bhatwari Village) have obstructed/disrupted natural flow of the river which has adversely impacted geomorphological and ecological functions of the river.

Interim report by National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) in compliance to the National Green Tribunal order of March 18, 2020. The matter relates to formation of Biodiversity Management Committees (BMCs) and preparation of People's Biodiversity Registers (PBRs) and to utilize funds under CAMPA and constitute a State level PBR Monitoring Committee for all the local bodies of the states. NGT had also directed the defaulting states to deposit Rs. 10 lakhs per month starting from February 1, 2020 to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) till such time, the task was fully completed.
