The Bhagirathi Valley is investigated to understand the impact of various barrages and dams on natural river flow. The multiple barrages and dams in the valley (downstream of the Bhatwari Village) have obstructed/disrupted natural flow of the river which has adversely impacted geomorphological and ecological functions of the river.

Interim report by National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) in compliance to the National Green Tribunal order of March 18, 2020. The matter relates to formation of Biodiversity Management Committees (BMCs) and preparation of People's Biodiversity Registers (PBRs) and to utilize funds under CAMPA and constitute a State level PBR Monitoring Committee for all the local bodies of the states. NGT had also directed the defaulting states to deposit Rs. 10 lakhs per month starting from February 1, 2020 to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) till such time, the task was fully completed.

Action taken report by the Uttarakhand Environment Protection and Pollution Control Board (UEPPCB) in Original Appliction No. 144 of 2018 in compliance of National Green Tribunal order of July 27, 2019 in the matter of Arvind Baniyal Vs State of Uttarakhand. The matter relates to a waste disposal dump yard set up on the bank of river Khoh, village Ratanpur, Kotdwar, Uttarakhand. The report stated that the collected waste of Nagar Nigam, Kotdwar was disposed at Paniyali Talli, village Ratanpur.

Report on behalf of state of Uttarakhand in compliance of National Green Tribunal order dated October 17, 2019 regarding unsatisfactory state of affairs in violation of mandate of Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 in Tehsil and District Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand.

Question raised in Lok Sabha on loss due to floods and thunder storms, 03/03/2020. Several States in the country have been affected by natural calamities including thunder storms and floods during 2019-20.

Action taken report by the Uttarakhand Pollution Control Board (UKPCB) in Original Application No. 960 of 2019 in compliance to the NGT order of November 11, 2019 in the matter of Jodh Singh Vs State of Uttarakhand. The matter related to discharge of wastewater from a sugar mill (M/s R.B.N.S. Sugar Mill Ltd. and distillery unit) into agricultural land in Laksar, district Haridwar.

Report by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Uttarakhand dated February 15, 2020 in compliance of NGT order of January 16 2020 in O.A. No. 01/2020. The matter relates to construction made by the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board in forest land in Park Estate, Hathipaon, Mussoorie, Dehradun district without approval under the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Bharti Kawatra Vs Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board & Others dated 16/01/2020 regarding illegal construction activity in forest area without requisite approval under the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980 at Park Estate, Hathipaon, Mussoorie, Dehradun District, Uttarakhand.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Gram Pradhan & Residents of Tapoban Vs State of Uttarakhand dated 02/01/2020 regarding loss to inhabitants in the course of construction of barrage by National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) in the year 2005 for which land of the people was taken for the Vaishnugad project in village Tapovan, District Chamoli, State of Uttarakhand but no employment was given.
