Health Minister Anup Mishra today admitted in the Assembly that the expected improvement had not taken place in health services but added that responsibilities were bestowed and accountability fixed from the level of the Minister to those of Principal Secretary, Secretary, Commissioner, Director and other officials with a view to betterment.

A senior government official said that the total number of deaths for this year might rise as all the figures were yet to collated. New Delhi: The number of dengue cases being reported in the city seems to be on the rise. A total of 45 cases were reported on Wednesday as against 42 cases reported on Tuesday

New Delhi: On Tuesday, the MCD confirmed 42 fresh dengue cases in the capital. So far, this is the highest number of dengue cases reported in one day. With this, the toll has risen to 627. MCD health officials issued 1,335 challans on Tuesday alone while only 5,116 challans have been issued so far this year.

Officials in charge of ongoing construction work at the Commonwealth Games Village have been fined by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi after civic agency officials found mosquitoes breeding at the site.
