Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Almitra H. Patel & Others Vs. Union of India & Others dated 27/10/2017 regarding landfills in Delhi. The Commissioner of the East Delhi Municipal Corporation, Special Secretary of Urban Development and officers of Fire Department gave assurance to the Court that steps would be taken up to ensure that none of the landfill sites in Delhi do not catch or are put on fire in future.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Almitra H. Patel & Others Vs. Vivek Vihar Railway Station dated 23/10/2017 collection, transportation and disposal of the municipal solid waste collected from the railway platforms. NGT while comining down heavily on the Railway authority said that the primary responsibility to comply with the Rules of 2016 and to ensure that the platforms and railway lines remain free of municipal solid wastes and other wastes rests on them.

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal (Eastern Zone Bench, Kolkata) in the matter of Biswajit Mohanty Vs State of Odisha & Others dated 16/10/2017 regarding construction activity and reclamation of river bed, encroachment of river embankment, establishment of Labour Camps in river bed of rivers Mahanadi and Kathjodi at Cuttack, Odisha, and organization of Baliyatra and other programmes on Mahanadi river bed at Cuttack thereby affecting the river ecology and disturbing the river flow adversely.
