The average monthly receipts and average monthly expenses from crop production for the small agricultural households (with land holding of 1-2 hectare) were estimated at Rs. 6944 and Rs. 2652 respectively. Further, as per the Survey results, the average amount of outstanding loan per agricultural households was estimated at Rs. 47000/-. Details of outstanding loan per agricultural household by size class of land possessed for major States is given in Annexure-I.

Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) and Restructured Weather Based Crop Insurance Scheme (RWBCIS) are available for all the farmers including sharecropper tenant farmers growing the notified crops in the notified areas.
