Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Kirti Vardhan Singh Vs State of Uttar Pradesh & Others dated 16/05/2017 illegal and unauthorised mining particularly, mechanical mining being carried on in village Kalyanpur, Pargana Nawabganj, Tehsil Tarabganj, District Gonda. From the status reports and affidavits that have been filed NGT notes that it is evident that illegal mining of minor minerals has been carried on mechanically and also through suction pumps put into the water body quite near to the railway track.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Baljeet Singh Vs. UOI & Ors. dated 16/05/2017 regarding illegal sand mining along Neugal river, Palampur District, Himachal Pradesh.

NGT directs the miners whose tractors have been impounded to pay environmental compensation of Rs. 7,500 each which would be paid to the Himachal Pradesh Pollution Control Board and also file an undertaking before the Tribunal, the Pollution Control Board and the Police Authority that they would not use the tractors for carrying on illegal mining activity and transportation of such material.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vardhaman Kaushik Vs. Union of India & Ors. dated 15/05/2017. This Application is moved from the President’s Secretariat for permission to get diesel BS-IV compliant 2149cc Ambulance bearing Chassis No. MC1E4CLA7HP043880 and Engine No. D61002858 to be registered in Delhi. NGT grants permission for registering of the BS-IV Compliant vehicle as it is used for medical purpose and directs the R.T.O. (Regional Transport Office) to register the same in accordance with law.

NCT Delhi and Central Pollution Control Board shall submit a Status Report in regard to the Noise Level Mapping of the identified sites, including that Connaught Place, at the time of demonstrations. The said mapping shall be done when demonstration are going on and when the demonstration are not being done in that area.

Chief Secretary, Govt. of Uttarakhand & Ors. dated 08/05/2017 regarding disposal of sewage in river Kausi and Ganga, Uttarakhand. NGT finds that the DPR (Detailed Project Report) for setting up STP and other related issues was approved by the Uttarakhand Government without any physical verification.
