Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vardhaman Kaushik Vs. Union of India & Others dated 23/02/2017 regarding vintage car sports activity to be held on 24th to 26th February, 2017, Delhi.

NGT gives the go ahead to the vintage car sports activity with the Order that "all the directions should be strictly complied with and these cars will not be permitted to run on road as a part of the regular traffic."

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of National Green Tribunal Bar Association Vs. Dr. Sarvabhoum Bagali (State of Karnataka) dated 23/02/2017 regarding illegal and unauthorized mining in the middle of Bhima river, Kurugodu and Chinchapur Village, District Sholapur, Maharashtra.

NGT appoints Chetan Nagare as Local Commissioner who shall visit the sites of Kurugodu and Chinchapur, Village, District Sholapur immediately and report to the Tribunal the position of mechanical suction mining being carried on in the said river at these places.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vikrant Tongad Vs. Union of India & Others dated 21/02/2017 regarding Dallupura canal in east Delhi. NGT directs East Delhi Municipal Corporation to clean the drain and submit a compliance Report to the Tribunal.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Court on its own Motion Vs. State of Karnataka dated 20/02/2017 regarding environmental disaster that had taken place at Bellandur Lake in Bangalore. From the photographs and the clippings displayed on the Television, it had been shown that the entire lake was on fire, emitting highly pollutant gases.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of M/s Ankur Khusal Construction LLP Vs. Union of India & Others dated 17/02/2017 regarding use of potable water for construction activity, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Counsel appearing for the Chennai Water Supply and Sewerage Board submits that they have not provided any water to the M/s. Anjali Infra Housing and M/s. Ankur Khusal Construction or to any other Project Proponent for that matter for construction activity.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Anil Kumar Singhal Vs. Union of India & Others dated 15/02/2017 regarding untreated sewage dumped in river Ganga.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sanjay Kumar Vs. State of Uttar Pradesh & Others dated 14/02/2017 regarding hot mixing plants and ready mixing plants operating illegally at the Noida and Ghaziabad borders. National Green Tribunal directs the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board to examine the said plants and submit a Report to the Tribunal before the next date of hearing (23/03/2017).

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Anil Kumar Singhal Vs. Union of India & Others dated 14/02/2017 regarding disposal of untreated sewage in river Ganga. According to Keshav Gupta, General Manager of Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam more than Rs. 31 crores have already been spent on laying of sewage line and for construction/installation of STPs in the areas of Brijghat and Garhmukteshwar. According to the Joint Inspection Team, Garh drain is the single drain joining river Ganga and carrying the discharge load of 13 MLD.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of M.C. Mehta Vs. Union of India & Ors. dated 10/02/2017 regarding sewage treatment plants (STP) at Garh drain joining Ganga. NGT directs Chief Engineer of Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam to show on the next date of hearingt (13 February 2017) what survey was conducted, data prepared in support of DPR and consequently for the STP.
