Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of M/s Ashok Vihar Mitra Mandel Vs. The Govt. of NCT of Delhi & Ors. dated 23/12/2016 regarding pickling industries located in Delhi.

NGT directs the Chief Secretary of NCT of Delhi to take up a meeting of DDA, DSIIDC, Society running the plant, DPCC and the Applicant (M/s Ashok Vihar Mitra Mandel) may also be present, to take a decision as to whether the pickling industries should be closed in furtherance to the policy decision taken. And secondly how the hazardous waste is to be dealt.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of S.K. Goyal Vs. Chairperson, CPCB & Ors. dated 23/12/2016 regarding emissions of diesel locomotive engines. National Green Tribunal directs MoEF to submit a complete and comprehensive report as to whether

(1) the study of 30 locomotive engines is not sufficient to be considered for prescription of standard

(2) if the study is insufficient reasons thereof and what steps are required to be taken

Patel & Others VsMinistry of Health and Family Welfare & Others dated 22/12/2016 regarding steps to improve the practices presently adopted for collection, storage, transportation, disposal, treatment and recycling of Municipal Solid Waste popularly known as “garbage” generated in various cities across India.

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Progressive Resident Welfare Association Versus Haryana Urban Development Authority dated 22/12/2016 regarding converting a colony park into residential plots in sector 23-A, West Zone, Gurgaon, Haryana.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Social Action for Forest & Environment (SAFE) Vs. Union of India & Ors. dated 22/12/2016 regarding camping activities along Ganga. The Counsel appearing for the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change submits that they have already cleared and approved the Regulatory Regime, Management Plan and Wildlife Institute of India (WII) report.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vivek Kamboj & Anr. Vs. Union of India & Ors. dated 22/12/2016 regarding leachate from Bandhwari solid waste treatment plant situated on the Gurgaon-Faridabad border.The Counsel appearing for the State of Haryana submits that the financial bid for establishment of Waste to Energy Plant at Gurgaon and Faridabad would be opened on 30th December, 2016 and the contract would be awarded in January, 2017.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Appaswamy Real Estates Ltd. Vs. The State Environment Impact Assessment Authority & Others dated 19/12/2016 regarding environmental clearance for construction activities in Tamil Nadu.

Counsel appearing for the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board shall submit a complete statement as to how much money have they received in these cases under the orders of the Tribunal and complete action plan for environmental protection and improvement in the State of Tamil Nadu.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Gauri Maulekhi Vs. Union Of India & Ors. dated 16/12/2016 regarding use of horses, ponies, mules and donkeys to carry pilgrims and goods from Katra to the Vaishno Devi temple. NGT in its Order said that "efforts should be made to ensure that no parking of animals is permitted in the river and parking areas thereof would be provided in the barren areas between the Baan Ganga and Katra.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Elephant Energy Private Limited Vs. Municipal Corporation Shimla dated 16/12/2016 regarding setting up of municipal solid waste plant in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. NGT directs the Applicant (Elephant Energy Private Limited) to set up plant and make it operative in all respect.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of M/s A. Purushottam Chitrapur Vs. Union of India & Others dated 16/12/2016 regarding Yettinahole water diversion project. Counsel appearing for the State of Karnataka submits about 6000 trees have been fell/cut, however, in lieu thereof approximately 3200 trees have been planted under the scheme of afforestation. This statement is disputed by the counsel appearing for the Applicants.
