Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Uma Shankar Patwa & Anr. Vs. Union of India & Others dated 23/01/2016 regarding illegal constructions on flood plain and river bed of Yamuna, Agra, Uttar Pradesh.

National Green Tribunal directs the Respondents (Central Water Commission, State of Uttar Pradesh & Others) to:

1. Complete the flood plain delineation with reference to 2010 floods of River Yamuna at Agra

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of M/S PMV Maltings Pvt. Ltd Vs Uttrakhand Environment Protection Pollution Control Board & Others dated 18/01/2017 regarding SPCB classifying the industry as "grossly polluting industry". NGT in its Judgement after going through the case concluded that the appelant industry falls under the category of grossly polluting industry and it does not come under the category of green industry. And also directs the industry to comply with the directions given the SPCB for installation of online monitoring system.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Dr. Amandeep Aggarwal Vs. State of Punjab & Others dated 17/01/2017 regarding construction of super-specialty government hospital in forest area, Patiala, Punjab. The Counsel appearing for the State Punjab submits that the land does not fall in the Forest Area. The Counsel appearing for the Project Proponent also submits that they have planted 473 trees and the same has been verified by the Forest Department.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Society for Preservation of Kasauli and its Environs (SPOKE) Vs. Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation & Others dated 17/01/2017 regarding hotels being constructed unauthorisely in close vicinity of the Kasauli area, Solan District, Himachal Pradesh. 

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Mahesh Chandra Saxena Vs The Ministry of Urban Development & Others dated 16/01/2017 regarding rain water harvesting systems in Delhi. DJB and CGWA will conduct Joint Inspection of any five major government schools and five private major schools in Delhi and report if the rain water harvesting systems are in existence and are operational appropriately.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Almitra H. Patel & Anr. Vs. Union of India & Others dated 13/01/2017 regarding municipal solid waste management in Delhi.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Almitra H. Patel & Others Vs. Union of India & Others dated 10/01/2017 regarding generation and management of municipal solid wastes in India.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of M.C. Mehta Vs. Union of India & Ors. dated 13/01/2017 regarding Ganga pollution. UPPCB, UP Jal Nigam, UPSIDC, NMCG and the Central Pollution Control Board have filed a Joint Report. National Green Tribunal directs all the Respondents particularly, CPCB, UPPCB, UP Jal Nigam, NMCG, UPSIDC and the representative of the State Government to submit to the Tribunal details of all the industrial clusters filed in segment B of phase 1. They shall also submit trade/industrial effluent load in terms of quantity and quality both.

In the Order Environmental compensation for carrying out illegal mining is directed to be paid as follows:

a) wherever there is a tractor or a trolley, the compensation payable would be Rs. 50,000/-(for each vehicle).
