The government will soon publicize the draft rules for implementing the Union government's flagship law - Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act.

The revenue and parliamentary affairs department is looking into the issue. Officials said the government will not make new additions or deletions to the act; it is only finding out solutions to implement the legislation in the state’s context.

Bangalore: Bangalore needs more water than ever before but its groundwater table is fast depleting, widening the gap between demand and supply.

A study on urban water management released at the Annual Water Conference, organized by CII Karnataka on Wednesday, suggests the city’s demand-supply gap is 750 million litres a day, and is expected to increase to 1,300 million litres by 2026.
