HYDERABAD: Cloud-seeding operations could not be undertaken for the third day on Wednesday following a technical snag in the Cessna plane being used for the purpose.
MUMBAI: With levels in the lakes that supply water to the city at their lowest, the BMC on Wednesday cleared two proposals to carry out cloud seeding in the catchment areas. The decision was based on rainfall data for this monsoon so far- rain this year was 70% less than last year.
MUMBAI: The BMC is proposing to undertake a comprehensive cloud-seeding project at the catchments supplying water to the city. The project, which would be carried out over a period of 60 days and at a cost of Rs 12 crore, would be in addition to a seeding experiment the civic body may carry out this week.
