NEW DELHI: Parliamentary Standing Committee on Water Resources Chairman and Guntur Congress MP, R. Sambasiva Rao, here on Friday denied having given any opinion on the safety of the Mullaperiyar dam.
KOCHI: The Parliamentary sub committee on Water Resources headed by Rajapathy Sambasiva Rao has found that the 130 year-old Mullaperiyar Dam is posing a threat to the lives of around 30 lakh people living in Idukki, Kottayam, Alappuzha and Ernakulam districts.
