The NGT, December 6, 2022 directed a committee to be constituted to look into the matter of lack of green belt and sewage treatment plant in Sidhharth Vihar Yojna, a scheme of Awas Vikas Parishad, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The committee has to submit a report within one month, the court said.

New saplings will be planted in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (SAS Nagar), Punjab from time to time during the planting season by the Municipal Corporation and Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) and proper space will be kept around the trees. The work of de-concretization around trees will be undertaken and in place of interlocking tiles, perforated tiles will be installed.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Gaur Atulyam Apartment Owners Association Vs Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority & Others dated 05/08/2022.

Gaur Atulyam Apartment Owners Association filed an application in the NGT under Section 14 of the National Green Tribunal Act, 2010 regarding construction of mobile towers in green belts including green belt in front of Gaur Atulyam Society, Greater Nodia.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of R. L. Sharma & Others Vs New Okhla Industrial Development Authority & Others dated 08/07/2022.

The matter is related to restoration of green belt in Sector 48 NOIDA as per layout plan given in Master Plan 2021 and 2031.

Report of Joint Committee in pursuance of the National Green Tribunal order, 23/02/2022 in EA No. 06/2022 in OA No. 651/2019 (Shobha Agarwal Vs Delhi Metro Rail Corporation & Others).

The matter related to the proposed construction of a commercial complex project of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation at Bhikaji Cama Place.

Based on the site visit and perusal of the information submitted by the DMRC, the committee noted that no construction work for the proposed commercial complex was found and only barricading had been made to secure the land.

Action taken report on behalf of DPCC in the matter of Raj Kumar Vs Union of India in compliance to the National Green Tribunal (NGT) order, 08/12/2021.

The NGT had directed the DPCC and SDM, Saraswati Vihar to take action against encroachment in the park opposite the office of the SDM. Garbage, edible packing material, used bottles, cups, electronic waste, buffalo dung, edible waste and torn packaging material was thrown in the park.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Mahagunpuram Apartment Owners Association Vs Ghaziabad Development Authority & Others dated 25/03/2022.

The application was filed to consider the compliance report filed by the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) in pursuance of the NGT order, August 20, 2018 (O.A. No. 06/2018).

The NGT had directed the Ghaziabad Development Authority to comply with environmental clearance - the housing societies are required to keep 15 per cent o the area as green belt out of the total plot area of 54630 sq. metres.

Joint Committee report in compliance of the National Green Tribunal order in the matter of Jila Bachao Sangharsh Morcha Vs Union of India & Others.

The matter related to M/s Singhal Enterprises, Taraimal, Raigarh and its ownership of the land including diversion of land. The unit claimed the land of about 137 hectares has been owned by the company since 2000. However, the Joint Committee report said that 51.470 hectares of land (38%) is owned by the company and the rest 68% land is owned by other people.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sunil Kumar Sharma Vs Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Authority & Others dated 27/08/2021.

A report was sought from District Magistrate, Ghaziabad with reference to the allegation that there was encroachment on the green belt, in violation of the Master Plan, by way of a private building named ‘Udyog Bhawan’ at Ghaziabad.
