The state Cabinet today gave nod to advertising 18 hydroelectric projects with an aggregate generation capacity of 1,357.5 MW, including three self-identified projects, under the revised policy.

BHUBANESWAR: The Assembly Standing Committee on Water Resources Department has asked the State Government to execute fasttrack irrigation projects with short gestation period to cater to the needs of farmers post-monsoon.

The committee observed that major and medium irrigation projects do not provide immediate benefits to the farmers.

Jamshedpur, July 8: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur in association with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd today inaugurated a rainwater harvesting system at Little Flower School, Telco, the 35th such school where the system was introduced.

The project

The present study has been undertaken to demarcate the groundwater recharge potential zones using Geographical Information System (GIS) approach. GIS technique is used in this study to demarcate the different groundwater recharge potential zones of Tiruppur Block, Tamil Nadu.
