Greater Noida: The widening of GT Road NH-91, a project of six-lane highway from Ghaziabad to Aligarh via Bulandshahr, will cost the felling of shady trees planted on the both sides of the road at the time of Emperor Sher Shah Suri.

About 19,000 trees will be cut for the purpose.

The washed away diversion has established the fears being expressed by farmers of the area.
