New Delhi: The Central Empowered Committee of the Supreme Court has recommended to the court that illegal mining be stopped in six mines in Obulapuram and H. Siddapuram villages of Anantapur district in Andhra Pradesh.

Chief minister B S Yeddyurappa on Friday categorically ruled out the possibility of ordering a CBI inquiry into the alleged large scale irregularities in mining in Bellary district.
