Bhubaneswar: Thousands of forest dwellers and tribals in Odisha have threatened to boycott the assembly and Lok Sabha polls to protest the government’s apathy towards them, officials said Monday.

Continuing its frenzied efforts to secure alternate bauxite supplies, Vedanta Aluminium Ltd (VAL) has urged the Odisha government to fast track its applications for three small laterite deposits in Koraput district for mining lease by the end of this month.
