Pune, Aug. 28 A day after the Maharashtra Government ordered that a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) promoted by electronics and white goods maker Videocon at Wagholi be scrapped, Group Chairman, Mr Venugopal Dhoot, said the SEZ would come up at another location in Pune district.

Pune Chief Minister Ashok Chavan on Wednesday announced that the proposed Videocon SEZ at Wagholi would be scrapped, ending a two-year standoff between the villagers and the state government.

With four more swine flu deaths in Banglaore and one in Pune, the national toll touched 74 on Wednesday. The total number of those afflicted with H1N1 virus rose to 3,095 with more cases detected across India.
