Pune, September 07 Glitch at Loni terminal server cuts off supply, repair staff work on holiday
A technical glitch at the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) server at the Loni terminal affected diesel supply to the city, creating a sudden shortage. The glitch happened on Saturday and forced officials at the terminal to work on Sunday as well to restore regular supply.

Pune, September 05 Kumar Sublime, a project by Kumar Builders at Kondhwa, received the prestigious five-star eco-housing rating certificate from Municipal Commissioner at a function held recently. Arun Nigvekar and Prashant were among those presenton the occasion.
The certification has been initiated for the first time in the city. For the 5 star eco housing rating, the minimum criteria is 800 points. This is an interim certification till the completion of the project, said a press release.

Pune, August 19 In a major relief to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the Union government on Tuesday approved Rs 511 crore additional funds for roadwork, including BRTS, being implemented under JNNURM. Of this, the Commonwealth Youth Games (CYG) roads get Rs 165 crore though there are only about 50 days to go for its inaugural day.
"The Union government has approved the revised estimation proposal of the PMC with additional funds of Rs 511 crore,' Mayor Rajlaxmi Bhosale told The Indian Express from Delhi.

Pune, August 13 Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) officials need no longer shuttle between Delhi and Pune for review meetings on the progress of Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) projects.
The last review meeting on Tuesday saw PCMC and JNNURM officials on a video-conference for the first time. Both Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Asheesh Sharma and Pune Municipal Commissioner Praveensinh Pardeshi attended the meeting.

Pune, August 03 As part of its initiative to make cantonment areas greener, the Pune Cantonment Board (PCB) has organised a mass tree plantation drive on the premises of the Race Course. On August 5, a total of 3,000 saplings will be planted at various spots inside the Race Course premises.
"Students and staff from several schools and organisations respectively from the cantonment zone have been invited to participate in the project, which will be phase two of the board's tree plantation initiative," said S K Sardana, chief executive officer (CEO), PCB.
