At least 34 persons died after parts of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh were hit by dust storm and lightning on Monday evening, officials said on Tuesday.

The maximum temperature in the State capital touched 41.7 degrees Celsius, with Jhansi being the hottest place in Uttar Pradesh at 46.6 degrees C.
