The matter related to dumping of debris at the bank of Mithi river near Tapeshwar Mandir, Aarey forest, which is prohibited as per the Management of Construction and Demolition Waste Rules, 2016. As proof, photographs have been given. The court was apprised of the fact that the authorities were informed about the illegal dumping of debris being done at the bank of Mithi river but no action has been taken.

Compliance report by the Central Pollution Control Board in the matter of K P Singh & Others Vs Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board & Others dated June 12, 2023.

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) vide order, January 30, 2023 directed the CPCB to verify whether any sewage and other wastes are flowing in the storm water drains of Prahlad Garhi village and its adjoining area in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

Punjab filed its report on the issue of water pollution in river Satluj near Gurudwara Patalpuri Sahib at Kiratpur Sahib, district Rupnagar.

The NGT, February 2, 2023 had directed the Chief Secretary, Punjab Pollution Control Board and District Magistrate, Rupnagar to look into the issue raised and take remedial action in accordance with law.

The matter related to unscientific dumping of solid waste in village Fatehpur, district Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh on the bank of Upper Canal Division Escape, resulting in the pollution of the canal. The dumped solid waste is also causing air pollution and foul smell.

Acting on a complaint that dyeing units are discharging waste water without any treatment into Thirumanimutharu river, Salem district, Tamil Nadu, the NGT directed submission of a factural report from the authorities. The court ordered constitution of a joint committee comprising Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, the Central Pollution Control Board, regional office Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Chennai and the District Magistrate Salem.

Additional affidavit on behalf of Raja Muzaffar Bhat regarding large scale pollution caused by discharging untreated sewage as well as dumping of municipal solid waste unscientifically in river Doodh Ganga and Mamath Kull in Srinagar and Budgam districts, Jammu & Kashmir.

The applicant has listed some points with regard to the present status of the river Doodh Ganga and Mamath Kull despite specific directions passed by the NGT. Raja Muzaffar Bhat said there has been no installation of sewage treatment plants on river Doodh Ganga stretch.
