The Yamuna Expressway Authority seems to have resolved its disputes with the farmers. The agitating farmers had been stalling development projects for the last two years.

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has asked the Haryana Mining Commissioner and the Director, Department of Mines and Geology, to look into the allegations of illegal sand removal from Yamuna riverbed.

The directions by the Division Bench of Chief Justice Tirath Singh Thakur and Justice Kanwaljit Singh Ahluwalia follow a petition filed in public interest by Chand Singh and others.
