The Affidavit filed by Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, MoEF and CC provides informs the Court that the Government of Odisha has been asked to initiate necessary action to evict the encroachments and MoEF & CC has asked the State to treat this as violation of Indian Forest Act, 1927 and the Orissa Forest Act, 1972.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Eastern Zone Bench, Kolkata) in the matter of Wildlife Society of Orissa (Elephant Corridors) Vs State of Odisha & Others dated 12/10/2017 regarding elephant corridors in the state of Odisha. Deepak Kumar Pani, Additional Standing counsel submits that Asian Nature Conservation Foundation (ANCF) has completed its task pertaining to the elephant corridor and the report preparation will take some time, particularly on the ecologically feasible corridor.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Varun Sheokand Vs. State of Haryana & Others dated 11/10/2017 regarding dumping of fly ash from thermal power plant, Faridabad. It is stated by the Counsel appearing for the Project Proponent, National Highways Authority of India that they are lifting the fly ash from the dumping site and are utilizing it for different purposes. It is further stated that the site shortly would be cleared in its entirety and would be filled in accordance with the prescribed rules.
