Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of M.C. Mehta Vs. Union of India & Others dated 25/01/2017 regarding Ganga pollution. NGT observed that by different Orders passed by the Tribunal "we had directed all the stakeholders to put forward their submissions/suggestions in regard to the 30 drains which join river Ganga and which cause all major pollution in Segment-B of Phase-I, but we regretfully note that the assistance provided to the Tribunal in that behalf is far from what is desired."

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Ashutosh Kumar Sharma Vs. State of Uttar Pradesh & Others dated 23/01/2017 regarding sewage disposal in
village Shobhapur, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The Applicant has stated that till now there was no sewage line or mode of sewage discharge or treatment.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Eastern Zone Bench, Kolkata) in the matter of Subhash Datta Vs State of West Bengal & Others dated 18/01/2017 regarding pollution of Santragachi Jheel, Howrah, West Bengal. Howrah Municipal Corporation shall continue with the task of cleaning the Jheel with the aid and assistance of the Department of Forest. NGT finds the affidavit of Deptt. of Environment woefully short of the court's expectations and said that "expression of inability to declare the Santragachi Jheel area as ‘silence zone’ relying upon the notification issued by the MOEF, Govt.

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of M/S PMV Maltings Pvt. Ltd Vs Uttrakhand Environment Protection Pollution Control Board & Others dated 18/01/2017 regarding SPCB classifying the industry as "grossly polluting industry". NGT in its Judgement after going through the case concluded that the appelant industry falls under the category of grossly polluting industry and it does not come under the category of green industry. And also directs the industry to comply with the directions given the SPCB for installation of online monitoring system.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Dr. Amandeep Aggarwal Vs. State of Punjab & Others dated 17/01/2017 regarding construction of super-specialty government hospital in forest area, Patiala, Punjab. The Counsel appearing for the State Punjab submits that the land does not fall in the Forest Area. The Counsel appearing for the Project Proponent also submits that they have planted 473 trees and the same has been verified by the Forest Department.
