Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Ashish Dixit Vs. State of Uttar Pradesh & Ors. dated 18/08/2017 regarding pollution of ponds and water bodies in District Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. NGT directs the State of Uttar Pradesh along with the concerned local authorities to identify all the water bodies in Lucknow and the same shall be put on the website of the said agencies as well as UPPCB. They shall be kept in public domain as well.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Central Zonal Bench, Bhopal) in the matter of CH Institute of Management and Commerce & Others vs. State of Madhya Pradesh & Others dated 11/08/2017 regarding requirement of consent to operate for poultry farms. As per the classification of CPCB poultry firms having less than 1 lakh birds do not require ‘Consent to Operate’ as per CPCB guidelines of 20.10.2015. Tribunal directs that the clarification of CPCB dated 19.07.2017 be filed before the Court.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Western Zone Bench, Pune) in the matter of Sarang Yadwadkar & Ors. V/s. Mrs. Anjali Dinkar Datar & Others dated 11/08/2017 regarding illegal construction and dumping of debris on the banks of the river Mula-Mutha, Pune, Maharashtra. The Irrigation Department has submitted that demarcation of blue line of river Mutha is complete and it is for the Pune Municipal Corporation to act upon the booklet giving longitudes and latitudes with reference to blue line (no-development zone) and remove the encroachments.

Counsel for the State of Maharashtra submits that 428 illegal contractions/structures were detected and that demolition action against the illegal structures has been halted on account of Status-Quo order passed by the High Court in the Petitions filed by the holders of such structures.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Southern Zone, Chennai) in the matter of S. Selvakumar Vs Tamil Nadu State Pollution Control Board & Others dated 09/08/2017 regarding running of M/s.Vinayaka Hot Mix Plant at Karudayampalayam Village, Karur District, Tamil Nadu. NGT Southern Bench disposed of the Application as the unit is not being operated and even the machineries stand dismantled. The unit in fact informed the TNPCB that they will not establish the unit without obtaining prior consent from the Board.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Gauri Maulekhi Vs. State of Jammu & Kashmir & Others dated 09/08/2017 regarding use of mules in Vaishno Devi shrine, Jammu & Kashmir. Counsel appearing for the Shrine Board submits that authorities are making all efforts to comply with the directions of the Tribunal for opening of newly constructed pedestrian way for Ardh-kuwari.
