Status report by DM, Doda in OA No 178 of 2024 (News item appearing in Greater Kashmir dated 15/01/2024 titled Increasing pollution badly affecting water bodies in Bhaderwah). The status report filed by the Deputy Commissioner / District Magistrate, Doda, March 24, 2025 said that a strong monitoring mechanism has been established to review the status of activities. Quality of water is being monitored closely alongside J&KPCC.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of News Item titled “CSE report finds dangerous increase in ozone pollution across urban India” appearing in Down to Earth dated 06.08.2024. The Principal Bench of the NGT heard the matter on March 21, 2025.

In the original application, registered suo motu, the tribunal considered the issue of rising ground level ozone pollution across India in major cities, posing serious health threat, particularly to those with respiratory problems.

An application filed before the NGT said that illegal construction activities and clearing the vegetation and forest using massive earthwork and levelling the land was done by Mirzapur Energy (Uttar Pradesh) Pvt Ltd for setting up a super critical coal based thermal power plant at village Dadri Khurd, tehsil Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh.

The letter petition was received by the NGT from Amardeep, President, Ansal Sushant City Sector-7A, Residential Welfare Society complaining about non-disposal of solid waste in the above society by the developer and, thereby, causing damage to the environment.

Judgment of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Balwinder Kaur Vs State of Punjab & Others dated 19/03/2024.

Balwinder Kaur, the applicant raised the grievance of risk of thousands of trees felling due to likelihood of land sliding. It was said that illegal mining is being carried out upto 15 to 20 feet in agricultural land adjacent to forest department land where thousands of trees are standing which are facing risk of land sliding on account of illegal mining which may result in tremendous loss to the environment.

Action taken report by the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) in compliance of NGT order dated August 28, 2024 and January 8, 2025. The matter related to illegal extraction of groundwater by illegal borewells.

Reply by way of affidavit by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) in the matter of Public Action Committee & Others Vs Union of India & Others dated 19/03/2025. The CPCB report was in compliance with the NGT order, November 29, 2024.
