A diagnostic survey was conducted in rice growing areas across different blocks and districts of Jammu region, viz. Jammu, Kathua and Udhampur, for identification of N, P and K imbalance through DRIS (Diagnosis and Recommendation Integrated System), taking 121 sets of plant samples data composition and corresponding yields.

In India, seabuckthorn is widely distributed at high altitude, cold arid Trans Himalayan regions of Ladakh, Lahul-Spiti, parts of Chamba and upper Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. A study was conducted to develop a stochastic time series model for prediction of annual rainfall and runoff for Lidder catchment of Lidder river. The study area is one of the macro watershed of Lidder river and has an area of 1,243 km.

This study shows the importance of physical, water retention and transmission properties of soils in relation to water management/hydrological studies of paddy fields in the vicinity of Nirjuli (Arunachal Pradesh). Soil samples were collected at varioud depths at Nirjuli village, Modern village, Doimukh and Banderdewa.
