A Bill to regulate and manage the development of groundwater and the matters connected therewith and incidental thereto. This Act may be called the “Haryana State Groundwater Management & Regulation Act, 2013.

Municipal Corporations in the State of Haryana are governed by the provisions of the Haryana Municipal Corporation Act, 1994 and rules / bye-laws framed thereunder while the Municipal Councils / Committees are governed by the provisions of the Haryana Municipal Act, 1973 and rules / bye-laws framed thereunder.

The Haryana Non-Biodegradable Garbage (Control) Amendment Bill, 2013 was passed to provide for challaning and compounding in view of usage of plastic carry bags.
