Citing lack of environmental clearance, the National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Monday ordered that no work should be done on Phase III of the Barapullah elevated corridor.

It recalled a judgment by the tribunal in July 2014 which declared the NGT to be a “court”, holding that it has “all the trappings” of a judicial body.
