Mangalam Cement contention is that the forest land in question is degraded having density of less than of 0.01, the NPV should have been charged at the minimum rate of Rs. 5.80 lakhs per hectare and not at the rate of Rs. 9.0 hectares.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Central Zonal Bench, Bhopal) in the matter of Shailendra Singh Vs. State of Rajasthan & Others dated 06/11/2017 regarding pollution in Pali river caused by industries. The Counsel representing the State of Rajasthan & Others has been directed by the Court to place a status report in respect of linking all the member industries to CETP through pipeline which was to be completed by 02.10.2017. It is also made clear, at that time, that those industries which were not linked with CETP are liable to be closed down.

Photographs placed before the court shows that illegal mining has practically reduced the greenery to half also the project where mining is carried has no environmental clearance obtained by any person whatsoever.
