Conditional clearance given to Posco

The CIDCO has put on fast track the process of giving out compensation to villagers whose land was acquired decades ago for the Navi Mumbai airport. This has come about in a bid to appease villagers, as the nodal body is yet to acquire around 20 per cent land for the second airport project.

Since December 22, CIDCO has cleared 60 plots given to villagers under the rehabilitation scheme.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government will form a special unit to acquire 157 acres for the expansion of the Karipur airport and implement a package for the rehabilitation of affected families, Revenue Minister K.P.
