CSE in collaboration with TVE Asia Pacific (TVEAP) organised a three day South Asian workshop on "New Media for Strategic Communication in Development” from from 5 to 7 June 2013, at Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Junk food term refers to fast foods which are easy to make and quick to consume. They are zero in nutritional value and often high in fat, salt, sugar, and/or calories. Common junk foods include salted snack foods, fried fast food, and carbonated drinks.

Concentrations of air pollutants from vehicles are elevated along roadways, indicating that human exposure in transportation microenvironments may not be adequately characterized by centrally located monitors. We report results from w180 h of real-time measurements of fine particle and black carbon mass concentration (PM2.5, BC) and ultrafine particle number concentration (PN) inside a common vehicle, the auto-rickshaw, in New Delhi, India.

दीवाली के दूसरे दिन अब लगभग कई सालों से हम यही चर्चा करते हैं कि प्रदूषण और ज्यादा कितना बढ़ा. और इस साल कोरोना के गंभीर खतरे के बीच पटाखे बेचने और चलाने पर पूरी पाबंदी लगाई गई. बावजूद इसके दिल्ली-एनसीआर में खूब आतिशबाजी हुई और हवा जहरीली हो गई. हवा पहले से ही जहरीली थी इसमें कोई शक नहीं कि प्रदूषण बहुत था लेकिन उसमें किसी भी तरह का धुआं चाहे वो पराली का हो या फिर पटाखों को वो हवा की गुणवत्ता को बद से बदत्तर कर देता है. यानि की हवा और खराब हो जाती है.

साल भर में एक बार सरकारें Air Pollution की चिंता करती है, अभी के मौसम में Delhi सहित कई शहरों में दोबारा AQI बढ़ गया है और pollution ने फिर हालत खराब कर दी है. अब Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal ने पटाखों पर बैन लगा दिया है, सवाल है की क्या सिर्फ साल में एक बार पटाखें बैन कर देना ही इस समस्या का समाधान है? क्या गाड़ियों और industry से हो रहे pollution का इसमें कोई हिस्सेदारी नहीं, देखिये इसी पर यह खास बहस 'Awaaz Adda' में
