Amicus Ccuriae has placed before the Court some submissions on urgent actions to control air pollution in NCR which the Court wants to impelemented with immediate effect. These suggestions which are now the directions of the Supreme Court are the following:

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of M. C. Mehta Vs Union of India & Others dated 29/10/2018 regarding pollution caused by Graphite India in Whitefield, Bangalore, Karnataka. Graphite India has been directed to deposit an amount of Rs. 50 lakhs with the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board.

Judgement of the Supreme Court in the matter of M. C. Mehta Vs Union of India & Others dated 24/10/2018 on whether Bharat Stage IV compliant vehicles should be permitted to be sold in India after 31.03.2020.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of M. C. Mehta Vs Union of India & Others dated 27/07/2018 on the issue of pollution in River Ganga including the dimensions of industrial and sewage pollution. National Green Tribunal directs the CPCB and UPPCB to regularly display the results of tests of samples of water at various locations. NGT has been informed that there are 36 real-time monitoring stations and 94 manual monitoring stations.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of M. C. Mehta Vs Union of India & Others dated 11/10/2018 regarding relocation of industries in Delhi. The 48th Progress Report of the Monitoring Committee has recommended closing down of illegal activities running in residential and non conforming areas of Delhi.
