Trimex Inds to invest Rs 2,250 cr in ilmenite mining

Trimex Industries, part of the metals and minerals conglomerate Trimex group, today announced that it will commence ilmenite mining operations in the next two months at Srikurmam in Andhra Pradesh, where it plans to invest Rs 2,250 crore.

A public hearing for environmental clearance of Jeraldaburu iron ore mines allotted to Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) went off peacefully in West Singbhum amid presence of over 500 villagers.

The hearing was organised jointly by the Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board (JSPCB) and West Singhbhum district administration.
