Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday demanded an additional allocation of at least 300 Mega Watt power for the State from the Centre to tide over the drought like situation in wake of poor monsoon.

The huge untapped natural resources in Arunachal Pradesh when harnessed would make it a front ranking State, Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu said today.

ANGUL: Power generation at the 3000-MW NTPC power plant at Kaniha has been hit due to coal crisis even as Mahanadi Coalfields Limited claimed to have supplied 99 per cent of coal demand of the plant in the current month.

The power plant, second biggest in India, provides power to 17 states, including four southern states.
