The Action Taken Report (ATR) of the Committee deals with the action taken by the Government on the recommendations/observations contained in Three Hundred Sixteenth Report on 'Air Pollution in Delhi and National Capital Region'. The issue for consideration is the remedial action for violation of environmental norms by discharge of untreated sewage and effluents into the drains and other water bodies in Fazillka District in Punjab. In the course of consideration of the issue, scope of the matter has extended to other adjoining Districts facing such problem.

The Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas Bill, 2021 was introduced in Lok Sabha on July 30, 2021.
