Deliberating upon the need to apprise people about the environment hazards caused by burning of agriculture residue or wastes in the fields, Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) is organising awareness programmes at the block levels in all 21 districts of the State under a special action plan prepared by the Board to deal with the issue.

All hazardous waste generating industries in Goa have been via a notice issued by the Goa State Pollution Control Board directed to make an application to the Board on or before January 4, 2010, for obtaining authorisation as required under the Hazardous Waste (Management, Handling and Trans-boundary Movement) Rules, 2008, notified under the Environment Protection Act, 1986.
