The Delhi government will introduce dedicated bicycle lanes on all main stretches in Delhi and make the city cyclist-friendly soon.

The news has come in response to a memorandum submitted by the Delhi Cycling Club (DCC) to Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.

The assurance was communicated through a letter by the Chief Minister to convenor of the Delhi Cycling Club, Nalin Sinha.

There is finally some respite for cycle rickshaws from the Delhi High Court. Recently the chief justice bench while hearing a petition on lifting of ban on cycle rickshaws on the main arteries of Delhi asked the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to submit an action plan for cycle rickshaws in the city.

Pune The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will soon come out with guidelines on introducing footpaths and cycle tracks on non-Bus Rapid Transit System
