With a view to meet the growing drinking water requirements of Chennai and its suburbs, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa on Tuesday announced creating a reservoir in the nearby Tiruvallur district at a cost of Rs 330 crore besides announcing a slew of other water schemes.
