Utilization of some novel insecticide schedules in insect pest management of Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus)

A field experiment was conducted during kharif 2007 in the vegetable farm of the Division of Entomology, IARI, New Delhi in Randomized Block Design with ten treatments including a control. Seed treated with imidacloprid (3 g ai kg-1 seeds) or foliar spray either of thiamethoxam/acetamiprid/imidacloprid @20 g ai ha-1 effectively reduced leafhopper population, Amrasca biguttula.

Farm outlay pegged at Rs 1 trillion
