The matter related to grant of mining leases without preparation of District Survey Report (DSR) as per the Sustainable Sand Management Guidelines (SSMG), 2016 and the Enforcement & Monitoring Guidelines for Sand Mining (EMGSM), 2020 in the district Banda, Uttar Pradesh. It is stated that an advertisement dated February 8, 2021 was issued for grant of mining leases without replenishment and carrying capacity studies.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Utkarsh Panwar Vs Central Pollution Control Board & Others dated 17/02/2021.

Question for consideration is extending applicability of Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), already applicable to Fixed Chimney Bull Trench Kilns (FCBTK), to other coal fired brick kilns, including those using ‘Zig-Zag’ technology in NCR during the period the air quality is ‘severe’, having potential for adverse health effects.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Bengal Brick Field Owner’s Association Vs West Bengal Pollution Control Board dated 05/11/2020.

The NGT in its order of August 6, 2020 had directed the CPCB and the West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB) to carry out a carrying capacity study in the state with specific preference to areas where the brick fields are concentrated within a period of three months. But the report has not yet been filed.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vikas Singh Vs Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board & Others dated 09/07/2020.

The issue for consideration is the remedial action against illegal operation of brick kilns in District Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh (UP) where 600 brick kilns were illegally operating. The applicant has alleged that all the brick kilns were located within 50 to 500 meters east or west of the village habitations resulting in cancer and asthma to 40% inhabitants.

Submission of Central Pollution Control Board report in compliance of National Green Tribunal order of January 30, 2020 in the matter of O. A. No. 1016 of 2019, Utkarsh Panwar Vs CPCB & Others and O.A. No. 1088/2018 Dinesh Chahal & Others Vs Union of India & Others.

A 32 page preliminary investigation report into the environmental carrying capacity for polluting projects and allied issues in Tamnar and Gharghoda blocks of Raigarh district, Chhattisgarh made public on Februry 26, 2020 on the National Green Tribunal (NGT) website. The report was in response to the NGT order of July 22, 2019.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Dinesh Chahal & Others Vs Union of India & Others regarding pollution caused by the brick kilns in the State of Haryana dated 30/07/2019. The Director, Food, Civil supplies and Consumers Affairs allowed the brick kilns to be operated in non-NCR area without any study or the impact in the air quality and without safeguards is the grievance in the case.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Ramesh Chand Vs State of Himachal Pradesh & Others dated 28/05/2019 regarding degradation of Kullu and Manali in Himachal Pradesh in terms of air and water pollution as well as encroachment of forest lands and construction in flood plains of Beas and Ravi rivers.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Anil M. Puri & Others Vs State of Uttarakhand & Others dated 15/05/2019 on the issue of grant of consent to establish (CTE) to an industry in the area of river Kosi and Dabka in Tehsils Bazpur, Kashipur and Ramnagar.
