Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has described the Union Budget as anti-farmer and disappointing, adding that it would compound the problems of the common man who is facing the brunt of economic slowdown.

Agriculture hit by scanty rain

Dehradun: The Uttarakhand Government has sought Central assistance of Rs.200 crore in the wake of drought-like conditions in the State due to scanty rainfall for the past six months, official sources said.
