THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There will be changes in the guidelines for BPL families once the Food Security Act comes into force, Union Minister of State for Agriculture, Food and Civil Supplies K V Thomas has said.
As the Centre prepares to enact the National Food Security Act (NFSA) to implement its promise of 25 kg of rice/wheat at Rs 3 per kg for the below poverty line (BPL) families, it will have to first grapple with the anomalies in the existing public distribution system.
